The Book Shelf

The Blue Heron and The Book Shelf celebrate Shakespeare with a festive fundraising dinner! Will you be in or out?  This is the question! Join us   Monday, July 20th at 7:00 p.m.  for wonderful food, entertainment provided by GRSF cast members, and a live auction of  Great River Shakespeare Festival memorabilia.  $10.00 from each ticket sold will go directly to the Great River Shakespeare Festival.  It will be a time to celebrate the festival,  it's relationship to the cafe and the store, and most importantly,  it's patrons. 1.  5 Course Meal provided by The Blue Heron      Hors d'Oeuvre: Two Moroccan Dips (Bean Puree Dip & Eggplant Almond Dip) with Moroccan bread      Salad Plate: Spicy Carrot Salad (Salatat Aljazar), Roasted Beet Salad w/Moroccan Spices, and 3rd salad to be announced.      Entree: Tagine w/couscous  (Lamb or Seven Vegetable, select one)      Palate Cleanser: Oranges w/Cinnamon      Dessert: Semolina Custard Tart      (you are encouraged to bring a bottle of wine of your choice) 2.  Entertainment by GRSF cast and staff      Four GRSF cast members will regail us with readings from Shakespeare featuring men and women....a "battle of the sexes" if you will... 3.  Auction of festival memorabilia 4.  Book Shelf will donate a portion of book sales The Book Shelf will be open the entire evening, and we will be donating 15% of book sales to GRSF.
