The Book Shelf

My staff and I are very excited to invite you to an after-hours event next Wednesday night.  You all have busy schedules, and finding the time to get started on your holiday list can be challenging. (Believe me, I know.  I haven't even put my list together yet.)  We are going to be open from 5:30-9:00pm Wednesday night in order to help.  My entire staff will be on hand to help make recommendations for everyone on your list.  We will have hors d'oeuvres and wine, and The Blue Heron will be making coffee, tea, cocoa, and cider.  They will also have a dinner entree special (Lasagna) that evening.  We will have special holiday displays and hand-selected merchandise to make shopping a breeze.  We will also have free gift-wrapping all night.  All in-stock merchandise in the store will be 10% off during this event.

So come down with your shopping list, have a glass of wine, sit back and let my staff and I have a crack at recommending some wonderful books.

In addition, from 6:30pm-7:00pm children's book author and illustrator Stephen Shaskan will join us for a reading and sing-a-long to promote his adorable new picture book, "A Dog is a Dog."  This portion of the evening will be very family friendly, so bring in the kids!

We plan to make this a social event every year, so stop down and have a great time!
